URCF Youth: Peru Trip June 2026

Our Team

June of this year saw the return of the URCF youth to Peru. This year we had the opportunity to work with the ministries at Brazos Abiertos.

Everybody was engaged as they participated in the ministries offered at Brazos Abiertos. The team supported a wide range of activities including children’s programs, teenage ministry, adult services, Bible studies, and sports ministries (soccer, volleyball, basketball).

The team stepped into stretching roles. Many of them led devotionals, taught lessons, acted in skits, organized games, translated, and shared personal testimonies.

Transformation & Growth

We saw deep spiritual impact and growth in the team over the course of the week. The trip has been deeply transformative, with the team actively sharing testimonies, teaching, and seeing meaningful spiritual impact in both themselves and others.

We saw the team show a lot of flexibility, resilience, and unity. The group adapted well to changing schedules and demanding days, showing strong teamwork, encouragement of one another, and emotional/spiritual resilience.

The team got to immerse themselves into the community around the base. Activities like door-to-door evangelism, school involvement, neighborhood outreach, and English lessons built connections with the local community.

Next Year

We look forward to our next short-term summer mission trip. For another growth opportunity for our youth.
